Lyndsey & Michael

What would winning a wedding mean to you?

Winning would be the cherry on the cake after a whirlwind couple of years, I’m an NHS nurse and Michael is a teacher so the Pandemic really hit us hard and then life happened! We bought our first home in 2020, had our first baby in 2021 and then our second baby 2022. Its been crazy but we wouldn’t have it any other way. Gower is our special place, we got engaged on Gower and having the ultimate Gower wedding would be incredible, it would feel like we’ve gone full circle.

How did you meet?

We met at the end of 2017 through the online dating app, BUMBLE, whilst I was moving away from Bristol and he was moving to Bristol. Typical! The first date was in Bristol at a fancy cocktail bar but it was too loud so we headed to Weatherspoon’s and ended the night with grub in McDonald’s, not the classiest of first dates but it couldn’t have been more perfect. We couldn’t wait to see each other again and met up the next day. I’d couldn’t believe the irony of finally meeting a nice guy in Bristol just as I was about to move back to Wales, what’s more he was Welsh! For all the years I lived in Bristol I wasn’t having much luck with the English blokes, so meeting Michael was meant to be!

How did your partner propose?

He proposed whilst I was pregnant with our first daughter in September 2020, down on Worms Head. If we were lucky enough to win the wedding we would 100% escape during the drinks reception to capture some magical moments on Worms Head.
